Guesthouse in the Giant (Krkonoše) Mountains, Dolní Mísečky - Waldheim

The mountain guesthouse "Bouda na Waldheimu" is situated in Dolní Mísečky 850 metres above sea level by the main road Jilemnice - Horní Mísečky 4 km from the village of Vítkovice.

The history of the guesthouse dates back to the 19th century. The main building was built in 1820. Timber from the hayloft of the nowadays non-existent Kotelná bouda was used for its construction. Until 1945, the chalet bore the name guesthouse "V bažinkách" and it was owned by the Kraus family. A short time after the Second World War it served as a tool depository for workers of road administration and maintenance. After 1945, it went to the possession of the enterprise Sběrné suroviny of Prague, which owned the building until 2000.

In the spring of 2000, the building was purchased by Jaroslav Weiner and his family. In view of the very bad technical condition of the building, he decided for a radical renovation. After this renovation, a new entrance to the building was made and two new rooms were built (with complete furnishings) on the first floor, and a new technical background was created by adding the north-western part. Also completely new bathrooms and toilets were installed on the ground floor according to EU requirements. The kitchen also underwent a radical change in accordance with EU standards. A modern sewage plant was installed. Also, the dining room and some of the rooms and corridors were fitted with new wood lining. Everything is clean, bright and fresh.

In the guesthouse there is a reception desk, lounge with a bar, TV set and satellite, video recorder, DVD player; a ski stand is available in the winter season.

The rooms are divided into two categories: "standard" a "apartment".

If you seek calmness, well-being, family atmosphere or an undisturbed stay in the bosom of nature with a gurgling stream directly "below the windows", we are here just for you.
